Dashboard alerts appear on a users dashboard so are very visible. They're a great way to get information out to your users without flooding their inbox.
In order to get dashboard alerts to appear correctly in your website, ensure that you have KAlerts installed and enabled in your website.
Then you'll need to use KEditor to place an alert component on the page you'd like it to appear for your users. Navigate to the page(s) that you want and open them in KEditor.
Use KEditor, search for the Alert components, then place and configure the appropriate component.
